Marfield CEO Elected to Board Position with Women's Business Council-Southwest

CARROLLTON, TEXAS-December 2005 - Lee Ann Packard, President & CEO of Marfield, Inc. is elected to membership on the board of directors with the Women's Business Council-Southwest.

The Women's Business Council-Southwest, an affiliate of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, is a non-profit organization formed to facilitate mutually beneficial procurement opportunities among women business enterprises (WBE) and Sustaining Members. A Sustaining Member includes corporations, businesses, government entities, institutions and other organizations that support the WBCS through annual membership. The entities are dedicated to buying products and services from Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) and hold a membership in the Council to further that goal.

Women-owned businesses represent one of the fastest-growing segments of the business environment, not just locally but nationally and internationally as well. The Women's Business Council - Southwest offers certification, procurement, networking and educational programs that help Women Business Enterprises (WBE) grow. The programs are offered throughout a four-state region, which includes north Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Packard joins an impressive group of board members made of fellow WBE's and Sustaining Member representatives.
